How to make your own toothpaste

A healthy, natural, economical and responsible toothpaste.

In the morning, after breakfast, you put on some toothpaste onto your toothbrush and rub it onto your teeth without asking yourself if this product that you swallow and put in your mouth is good for your health. Most toothpastes purchased in large stores or even pharmacies are not free of chemicals and pesticides, which are bad for you and the environment. On the menu: fluoride (harmful to bones and certain brain glands), triclosan (pesticide that alters hormonal regulation) or sodium laurel sulphate (foaming agent likely to be carcinogenic), all ingredients which are harmful to your health and you should ban from using immediately. But how to find the right compromise? By launching oneself in its manufacture! You will see, nothing simpler than to concoct a toothpaste at home, with natural ingredients, easy to find and cheap.

– Organic coconut oil

– Bicarbonate of soda

– Curcuma powder

– Peppermint essential oil

1/ Put 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a small bowl made of wood, glass or porcelain (but especially no metallic material).

Your toothpaste is ready to be used. A breeze, right? You can store it in a small glass container with a lid.
