Ejaculation as a natural medicine
Prostate cancer is the third biggest cause of death in men. Every year, between 40,000 and 50,000 men are affected by this disease in the UK. Recently, American researchers published a report which set out the ideal number of monthly ejaculations a man should have to stay in optimal health and protect against prostate cancer. A great excuse for a roll in the sheets!
Good news: it is possible to reduce the risk of prostate cancer and other associated illnesses. Doctors have outlined that exercise, a balanced diet and regular screening are what is needed. Can it be as simple as that? Other researchers have found a more interesting method: ejaculation…..
Ejaculate to fight against prostate cancer
Their enquiry was conducted on the sexual habits of 32,000 men, and the results showed that those who were most sexually active (including masturbation) had less chance of contracting this type of cancer.
We noticed that men who had the highest results in terms of the frequency of ejaculation during adulthood were less susceptible to being diagnosed later with prostate cancer.
At least, this was the conclusion of Jennifer Rider, the leader of the study, which was published in the journal European Urology.
So what is the ideal number of ejaculations?
The researchers were in agreement: by ensuring at least 21 ejaculations per month, it is possible to reduce the risk of prostate cancer by 33%, as this sexual practice plays a leading part in ridding the body of certain toxins. That said, those heading the enquiry were keen to put this information in perspective, more so promoting sport and a healthy diet.
