Beforehand: choose the right texture

Before getting down to serious business, it is important to know which texture of eye-liner to choose to make the task easier. It is often recommended to go for an eye-liner gel that comes in a pot, that you apply with a makeup brush. This texture allows you to control the amount better. It’s up to you to choose the one that will work best for you.

1/ With sticky tape

With or without eyeshadow, sticky tape will ensure that your liner doesn’t smudge! Be careful all the same to let everything dry before removing the tape.

2/ With a plaster

If you don’t have any sticky tape handy, a sticking plaster or some surgical tape will do the trick!

3/ With a stencil

Many eye-liner stencils are commercially available, but you can also make your own by cutting some paper into the desired shape.

4/ With a small spoon
