Tips for optimising your bras!
If some of us can get away without the constraint of the straitjacket known as a bra, others couldn’t imagine going a second without it! We have bras for all shapes, sizes and tastes, but they don’t always do exactly the job we want them to when it comes to matching our wardrobe. Here are a few indispensable tips, that those of us who would never dream of going bra-less are sure to appreciate.
1/ Use a simple paper clip to link your bra straps together
And say hello to tank tops!
2/ How to quickly know if your bra is a good fit
Insert two fingers between your bra and your skin, and see if they slide back out easily. If you can fit your whole fist between your back and the material, then your bra is too big. If, by contrast, you can’t get even two fingers in or out, the bra is too tight.
3/ Wear your sports bra in the shower to wash it
Don’t judge us, this tip allows you to save on water and energy! After your gym session, take your shower with your sports bra on and soap it up, so that you can wear it again the following day, if you are a real gym bunny! This will prevent you from having to wait for it to be put through a wash, which also damages the fabric.
4/ Wring out your bra in a salad spinner
Spare your delicate lingerie the rough spin cycle in the washing machine.
5/ Repair small tears from the underwire with a piece of a panty liner
We’ve all suffered this at some stage or another: being stabbed by the underwire that pops out of the fabric! To remedy this, take a fresh panty liner or sanitary towel and cut it in two. Tuck in the wire as far as you can and stick the panty liner over it, to form a patch.
