7/ Don’t scrub too hard
To avoid irritating your delicate vaginal area, don’t go scrubbing like a madwoman! It’s not a competition!
8/ Keep your pubic hair in check
If the function of our pubic hair is basically to regulate sweat, if it is too thick, it can make you sweat more, causing problems with odours. Remove hair around the bikini line within reason, without necessarily going for a full Hollywood wax!
9/ Wear cotton panties
Cotton, and every breathable material, allows you to keep your intimate area fresh and cool, and avoids too much sweating. And it goes without saying that underwear needs to be changed every day (and washed with gentle detergents -eco/natural products if possible)!
10/ Experiment with different feminine hygiene products during your period
Disposable sanitary towels and tampons can sometimes cause damage to your vaginal flora. Try alternative methods such as the menstrual cup, or re-usable cotton sanitary towels. These methods are much gentler and less irritating.
11/ Wash yourself after sex
Odours can also appear after sex. Don’t hesitate to wash yourself afterwards, without necessarily upsetting your other half by charging at high speed into the shower!
